$58.95   The brand new Studio Pro has landed and they are absolutely beautiful :)

Watch the video above to get a first hand tour of the new Studio Pro. Measuring at 11.24×13 the Studio Pro effectively does the job of a 12×12 softbox using only standard Canon, Nikon, and other speedlights. You hotshoe flash units now can give you large soft lighting when you use the Studio Pro.

These are too large for use on the camera, but using a special adapter from places like B&H Photo, you can mount your speedlights (like the Canon 550, 580, 580 EX II, Nikon DB800, Nikon SB900 and others similar to these) on a standard light stand. Here is the link to the adapter I am using on my light stands to attach my speedlights from B&H:

Hakuba HCS25 Ball Socket Shoe

The front of the Studio Pro is reflective white while the back has a professional black matte finish. The Studio Pro is easily attached using the velcro belt that is already mounted on the unit.

Each Studio Pro is $58.95 plus S&H.

As I mentioned in the video – special designer editions where the backside has a cool looking pattern will be coming in the future. They make the entire unit – the Studio Pro and the flash unit on the light stand look really nice and customizes your look a bit. The special edition back covers will cost a little more than the standard pro black backside of the Studio Pro.  -P

Peter – Does your beautiful studio (or other?) bounce card work on my canon speedlite 270ex flashlight, or do I need to buy another for fitting those bounce cards?

  4. Peter Gregg says:

The 270 is too small. I haven’t personally tested it, but the the specs seem to make it too small. If I get my hands on one I will update this message.

    Hi peter
Nice products currently I use a softbox and it’s a hassle carriyng it from one place to another. the Studio Pro looks so simple and easy to carry thank you for create a nice product, very necessary when you need it. I will need two Studio Pros and one Super Big bounce to be covered for any event in any place. And I preffer to buy these bouncers than build them if you check on the net the prices for similar products its the same or even more expensive and these products looks really convinient easy to use and carry.

Saw comment by “Dismayed” and laughed, too. That logic dismisses your efforts of design and perfecting that have gone into these tools, to say nothing of the quality of the finished products. It would be like telling Canon the EOS 7D looks nice, but $1700? The components and materials would only cost $250 from the local electronics store.
