Just like Broadway plays and some rock concerts, and even some of the traveling evangelists, the hottest rumor ticket out there today is the new Nikon D700X. Having a D3X myself, I am especially interested in the possibility of a new Nikon with the D3X sensor in it and it being in the D700 body.


It remains to be seen what Nikon will do, but the wonderful folks at NikonRumors.com are keeping track of the D700X rumors and you can too. Plus I will certainly be posting if anything new is revealed.

So far, what is expected is 2 possible cameras from Nikon, actually 3. The D700X is the oldest expectation with Nikon doing what they did to the D3/D700 combination to a possible D3X/D700X combination. Well, the D700X part is missing

However, we now have the D300s out there and folks are “rumoring” that the D700 itself could be up next to get an “S” upgrade to the D700S and that would put the new Nikon bodies all getting upgraded in turn.

So where is the D700X? It turns out the new camera might actually have more improvements than just a D700 with a new sensor in it and there is also a rumor that it will not be a D700X but a D800X.

And that brings the possibility of D3 uprade to the D4. There aren’t a lot of rumors for this camera out there, but there are some. I will bring you more info as it becomes available.
