I was put in a position to have to do a really quick headshot portrait on the spot and didn’t have time to set up any studio lights. I decided then and there that the Nikon SB900 speedlights I had sitting in my camera case could be put to better use as studio lights with a really really really big ABBC. I imagined taking out my Nikon or Canon camera, a few speedlights, and having a instant high quality easy studio!
The new ABetterBounceCard StudioPro was born. Within a week we had a prototype and now production is set to start in August 2009 for these beauties.

I was flabbergasted how big this puppy really is ~ give or take it is a 12×12 reflector that becomes a softbox but all of it is powered by a speedlight camera flash.
Imagine 2 or 3 these of these ABBC StudioPro units on simple light stands and you have a mobile studio already packed in your case with you wherever you go!
The front is reflective white as seen above, and the back is professional black:

But we decided since these will probably get used in studios, on location in homes and offices, we are also developing some fancy back-sides to kick them up a notch – here is the first sample they sent me – pretty cool huh:

I put my Canon G10 next the new ABBC StudioPro just to get an idea how huge this is – pretty wild how huge the StudioPro is:

In the next few weeks I will have the first shipment in of the new ABBC Studio Pro units and i will send out an email announcement and put it up top of the ABBC web site.
