If you are a reader of the very nice web site CanonRumors you can see they collect rumors from all over the internet on new Canon cameras. The hottest rumor for Canon right now is on the new pending Canon 7D camera.

The biggest consensuses is the camera will be called the Canon 7D which is very close to the name on the Canon 5D Mark II and the betting money is on the following specs:

In USA – $1699 Body
In Canada – $1999 Body

-18mp
- dual digic 4
- 8 fps
- 19 af points
- ISO 100-6400 (L & H1 & H2)
- 63 metering zones
- 100% viewfinder
- Horizon Help Viewfinder
- 3″ VGA LCD
- Full HD Video

It seems like it will be an interesting camera, I am especially interested to see if the focus system will have been tuned in to give better focus results and also how well the high ISO, like 1600 and 3200 do. At 18 megapixels there is an advantage for the folks that print larger pictures using higher ISO levels to get a cleaner better picture than they were expecting.

The beginning of September is when something is expected. It could be this camera alone, or it could be surprises along with it.
