This is one of the best time of the year for rumors. CanonRumors.com is reporting August 19 as a pretty strong possibility for announcements to be made for a few Canon cameras including a possible update to the Canon 50D, a new Canon 7D and maybe 2 Canon Powershot cameras.

I am looking forward to see what is on Canon’s schedule and as a user of the Canon G10 it is particularly interesting to see what a G11 may be all about.

A couple of the rumors for the 50D upgrade also look interesting as a Digic V would be a central feature telling how the new camera would work. The possibility of a better and improved focus system would also be a high point of interest.

The real wait is for the new 1 series cameras. I am eager to see what a Canon 1D Mark IV and a 1Ds Mark IV would be all about. I have my wish list all ready, can’t wait to see if Canon read it or not
